Mari grew up in Kansas and earned her Bachelor of Education degree at Washburn University. After graduating, Mari and her husband Steve, who is a patent attorney, moved to Jacksonville in 1997. She and Steve were then transferred to Chicago and then Atlanta. Because they both loved Jacksonville so much, they decided to move back after being away for several years. They just love what Jacksonville has to offer: the beach, the shopping, and most of all, the small-town feel in their neighborhood.
Mari makes her home in Orange Park with her husband Steve and their sons Luke and Nathan.
